The Leadership verification process has started and will close on March 7, 2025 at 5 PM ET. The voting period opens on February 26 at 8AM ET and closes on March 9 at 3PM ET.

Before you can vote in the 2025 Leadership race, you’ll need to verify your identity. Registered Liberals will have received their instructions to verify by email, if you can’t find yours, you can get started here: liberal.ca/how2vote.

Make sure your Voter ID is entered correctly in the verification form, and that the information you provide in the form matches the information you used to register as a Liberal. If you can’t get through and need to request a change to your information, please see below.

If you’ve requested your Voter ID but never received an email, check your junk folder, and other email addresses you may have used to register as a Liberal.

If you want to request a change to the personal information on your Liberal record as part of the verification process, please reach out to assistance@liberal.ca with the most up to date information and our team will assess your request.

If your verification failed, it means the information you provided did not match the information in your Registered Liberal record – which can include your date of birth, name, or address – or that you were asked to provide proof of Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or status under the Indian Act, and did not. Please reach out to assistance@liberal.ca with your most up to date information and our team will assess your request.
